2-hour free core parking coming to an end

The City of London says a promotion that provides two hours of free parking in the core will end next week.

The two hours of free parking downtown, on Richmond Row, and Old East Village will end on March 31. It was brought in as a temporary measure in an effort to help core businesses through the Core Area Action Plan. It was extended during the COVID-19 pandemic.

While in place, the promotion allowed those who came downtown to have two hours of free parking through the HONK mobile parking app, using the promo code "CORE". While the promotion is ending, the HONK app is "still available for residents to use to pay for parking in City-owned lots and curbside metered spaces," according to the city.
