Pancakes and parties: Georgian Bluffs to kick of Canada Day with breakfast

Who doesn't love pancakes and parties? Georgian Bluffs knows this and is offering a pancake breakfast at the Big Bay dock on July 1 to welcome Canada's birthday.

Canada Day festivities will kick off at 8 a.m. with Yoga on the Pier, led by Julie Bradley-Low from Stonegrove Wellness Studio. At 9 a.m., the national anthem will be played as the Canadian flag is hoisted, and pancakes will be served up by Heat n' Eat. A balloon artist will also be on site.

Throughout the rest of the day, Georgian Bluffs invites you to tour around to different local landmarks and shops to appreciate the community.

"From hiking to kayaking to a picnic on the shore, there are so many ways to enjoy all Georgian Bluffs has to offer," said the township.

At 4 p.m., Cobble Beach will have live music with a Canadian-themed menu at Sweetwater Restaurant.

Bagpipers will end the night by playing O' Canada, followed by fireworks over Georgian Bay at 9 p.m.
