The Sarnia Police Service (SPS) says a man wanted for breaching probation has been arrested in Petrolia.
Police issued a social media post this week, asking for the public's help to find several wanted people.
One of them was 47-year-old Matthew Lutes.
On Thursday, just before 3 p.m., Lambton OPP officers went to a residence on Oil Heritage Road in Petrolia to try and find him.
He allegedly refused to leave the home, and told the OPP that if Sarnia police wanted him, they could come and get him.
SPS did just that, as the Offender Management Unit (OMU) got a warrant to enter the residence.
The Emergency Response (ERT) and K9 teams, with help from the OPP, came back to the property at around 7 p.m.
Police said a woman came to the door, became confrontational with police, and tried to block their access to the front door.
The woman allegedly struck one of the officers in the face, and she was arrested.
Lutes was eventually taken into custody by the ERT team.
Freedom Spiers, 27, of Petrolia was released on a police undertaking on charges of assaulting police and obstructing police.
Matthew Lutes, 47, of Petrolia was held for bail on two counts of breaching probation.
