The Sarnia Sting was full of holiday spirit Friday night after its 5-2 win over Owen Sound.
It was the Christmas in Hive game at Progressive Auto Sales Arena where the hockey club collects donations for the Inn of the Good Shepherd. The team also auctioned off their holiday-themed jerseys.
Sarnia's Liam Beamish started the scoring seven minutes into the first period. Tyson Doucette quickly followed up with another goal a minute and a half later.
Beamish received one of the stars of the game for the goal and an assist with a goal by Jack O'Brien. This was O'Brien's first of the season.
Sarnia also outshot Owen Sound 27-21.
The Sting have Saturday off but are back in action Sunday afternoon in Sault Ste. Marie. Puck Drop is at 2:07 p.m.
The game can be heard live on CHOK (103.9FM/1070AM) starting with the pre-game show at 1:30 p.m.
