Ending Hunger Award For Egg Farmers

Egg Farmers of Ontario is the winner of the 2014 Paul Mistele Memorial Award.

The Award recognizes agricultural partners who have shown a significant and enduring commitment to ending hunger in Ontario.

It's awarded by the Ontario Association of Foodbanks.

The provincial egg farmers group is being recognised for it's commitment to donate the equivalent of 12 thousand dozen eggs every month to the Ontario Association of Food Banks.

That amounts to 144 thousand dozen eggs over a year.

Past recipients of the Paul Mistele Memorial Award include the Ontario Dairy Council, Nature Fresh Farms in Leamington and Ontario Pork.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
