Pace Of U-S Corn Harvest Improving

U-S corn growers made some nice progress on their harvest over the past week.

They're now up to 65 per cent done.

That's 8 points behind the five year average.

Soybeans are 83 per cent harvested.

That's right on the five year average.

The USDA says 90 per cent of the winter wheat crop is now planted - 1 point ahead of the five year average.

The department's condition rating for winter wheat remains the same as it was last week - 59 per cent good to excellent.

That's 4 points behind last year's rating for this time of the year.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
