DFO Chair Retiring, Bruce-Grey Director Acclaimed

Dairy Farmers of Ontario will have a new chair next year.

Current Chair Bill Emmott is retiring from the board.

He opted not to run for re-election in Region 7.

That spot was won by Albert Fledderus of Lowbanks.

Region 7 covers Brant, Haldimand, Halton, Niagara, Norfolk and Wentworth.

Two other DFO directors were acclaimed, including Mildmay's Ralph Dietrich in Region 11, representing Bruce and Grey.

Dietrich is the current Vice-Chair.

The other DFO director acclaimed for another term is Henry Oosterhof in Eastern Ontario's Region 3.

The new Dairy Farmers of Ontario Chair will be elected at the organisation's annual meeting in January.
