Perth Federation Members Told They're Best Source Of Food Info

Members of the Perth County Federation of Agriculture have been encouraged to be more vocal in promoting their industry.

Farm advocate Andrew Campbell told the Federation's recent annual meeting that many consumers know very little about where their food comes from or how it's produced.

But he adds there is an interest in finding accurate and reliable information.

Campbell explains farmers have a very high credibility rating and because they're the people actually producing the food, they're the best source of information.

He adds people need to know they're getting a safe and healthy product, and the best people to tell that story is the farmer.
