Progressive Ag Safety Days Hits Milestone

A milestone for the Progressive Agriculture Safety Days this year.

They've now had more than 100 thousand participants take part in the program since it was started in 2002.

The Progressive Agriculture Safety Days are held across the U-S and Canada every year in rural communities.

78 were held in Canada this past year.

They're described as community-driven, hands-on events that teach rural children about safety.

The days are a partnership of the Canadian Agricultural Safety Association and the Progressive Agriculture Foundation.

CASA spokesman Marcel Hacault says they also get a lot of support from other agriculture-related organisations.

More details on the Progressive Agriculture Safety Days are on the website - casa-acsa.ca.
