H5N2 Expected Topic At Perth County Meeting

Area poultry producers will be hearing about the B-C avian flu outbreak and what it could mean to the Ontario industry at a meeting in Broadhagen this week.

The Regional Poultry Producer Update will also include presentations on the retailer's perspective on sustainability and animal welfare and management advantages of new technology.

The update is sponsored by the Ontario Poultry Industry Council.

Spokesperson Laura Bowers says euthanasia is a hot industry topic they'll also be talking about as part of the day's agenda.

The Regional Poultry Producer Update is Wednesday from 10 to 4:30 at the Broadhagen Community Centre.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
