Agriculture 'Recognized As Industry Canada Priority'

Agriculture has been included in the newly-released Science and Technology Strategy for Canada.

Mark Wales says that means the sector is recognized as an Industry Canada priority.

Wales says agriculture is rooted in science.

The Council says the industry depends on a focus on science and innovation.

It argues new research is critical to ensuring productivity advances are possible, allowing modern agriculture to continue to contribute to the growth of Canada's economy.
