One Quebec Man Charged In Veal Cruelty Case

An animal rights group says animal cruelty charges have been laid based on an undercover video it shot at a Quebec veal farm.

Mercy For Animals had called for charges to be filed against the farm's owners - Delimax - for alleged violations of both provincial and federal law.

However, charges have only been laid against one person - a former employee at the farm.

He's been charged with two counts of violating the Quebec provincial Animal Health Protection Act.

Mercy For Animals says he could face up to 37 thousand dollars in fines.
