Ag-Related Sector's GDP Down Over 12% In October

The sector including agriculture took the biggest hit in gross domestic product numbers for October.

The overall national GDP went up 2 point 3 per cent from October of 2013.

However, the agriculture, forestry, fishing and hunting sector posted a 12 point 2 per cent drop over a year ago.

The agriculture-related sector slipped 1 point 4 per cent from September to October.

The national month-to-month change was a 0 point 3 per cent increase.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
