Forage Competition Deadline Extended

Here's another nod to the weather challenges faced by farmers in 2014.

The Ontario Forage Council has extended the entry deadline for the 2015 Milk Maker Forage Competition.

The new deadline is December 31st.

The competition is open to all forage grown for dairy production in Canada.

There are classes for hay, haylage, baleage, corn and silage.

The competition has 500 dollar first prize money for each class.

Each class winner will be displayed at the Milk Maker booth at the Canadian Dairy Xpo in Stratford in February.

Entry forms and guidelines are on the Ontario Forage Council website - www.ontarioforagecouncil.com.
