The cost of Canadian farm inputs went up almost 7 per cent in the third quarter of 2014 compared to the third quarter of 2013.
Statistics Canada says Ontario input costs went up 6 point 8 per cent in that year-over-year period.
Farm input costs went up 0 point 3 per cent from the second to the third quarter nationally, 0 point 7 per cent here in Ontario.
The numbers agency says animal production input costs went up 14 point 7 per cent year over year.
Crops production input costs went up 3 point 6 per cent.
The increase from the second to the third quarter was 1 point 9 per cent for crops, 3 point 6 per cent for animal production.
