Holstein Canada Names Canadian Champ For 2014

An Elgin County cow has been named a Holstein Canada Canadian Champion for 2014.

Canadian Champions are awarded to Holstein cows that surpass the previous all-time highest performance for milk, fat, protein or total BCA in her age at calving category.

The 2014 champion is Silverridge September Rae - bred and owned by Silverridge Farms in Springfield.

That's in Elgin County.

She was named Canadian Champion as a 6 year old for Fat.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
