Packed House Wraps Up Grey Bruce Farmers Week 2015

The 49th annual Grey Bruce Farmers Week has wrapped up.

Seven days of presentations and panel discussions along with a trade show finished up in Elmwood Tuesday with a packed house for Crops Day.

Each day a different farm commodity was the focus.

The week is put on by Grey County Agricultural Services.

Organizer Lorie Smith says since the weather wasn't great final attendance figures will likely be soft, but it was a great week.

"Usually our evaluations are positive most people rate it as excellent and I think over the years our attendance on good weather days have been stronger and stronger because I think our programs are getting better and better. We're really listening keenly to what people want."

Smith says no major changes are planned for the future of Grey Bruce Farmers Week.

The feeling is.. why meddle with success.
