Matt Shortreed To Head Huron Cattlemen In 2015

The Huron Cattlemen's Association has a new president.

Matt Shortreed took over the top spot from Bob Bennett, who stepped into the past president's job after three years as president.

Huron's first vice for 2015 is Elliot Miller.

Kevin McArter is second vice.

Harve Hoggart is the county's Advisory Councillor to Beef Farmers of Ontario.

And Kittie MacGregor continues as Secretary-Treasurer of the Huron cattlemen's group.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
