Lucan-Area Farmer Acclaimed DHI Zone 1 Director

A Lucan area farmer has been re-elected to the CanWest DHI Board.

Harold Kress was acclaimed Director for Zone 1.

That includes Huron, Perth, Lambton, Kent, Essex, Middlesex and Elgin Counties.

Arlene Dorland of Brighton was acclaimed to return to the board as director for Zone 4 in Eastern Ontario.

The CanWest DHI board has re-elected Manitoba milk producer Ed Friesen as chair for his fifth term.

John Wynands from Cardinal, Ontario, was named to his first term as Vice-Chair.

Canwest DHI is a partnership of Western Canadian DHI and Ontario DHI.

It provides herd management services to 4 thousand dairy producers from Ontario through British Columbia.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
