Smartphone App For CanWest DHI Records

It's another sign of how new technology is changing the way some people farm.

CanWest DHI has launched a smartphone app to provide easy access to herd and cow data.

The information available through the app is essentially the same as what is found in DHI's paper reports or electronic data files.

Spokesman Richard Cantin says the adoption rate of smartphones is already quite high within dairy producers.

He says the Mobile DHI app is in response to that.

The app works on Android and Apple devices.

It can be downloaded free - but there's a monthly fee for access to herd and cow data.
