Perth Junior Farmers Resurgence

The Perth Junior Farmers is 30 memebers strong and growing.

In fact, the group celebrated it's first awards banquet in several years.  Vice-President and Communiciations Coordinator Amanda Broadhagen says the group restarted in 2013 after a five year hiatus.

On Saturday a number of awards were handed out at the Perth Junior Farmers banquet.

The Darryl Vorstenbosh’s Athletic Spirit Award went to Joe White for 2013 and Eric McLagan for 2014.

The Margaret Keith Pletch Outstanding Member Award was presented to Dawn Coulton for 2013 and Crystal Blake for 2014.

And the Presidents New Member Award was presented to Jason Van Moorsel for 2013 and Cam Alton for 2014.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
