It has started commissioning activities for it's bio-succinic acid plant in Sarnia.

The biotechnology plant will convert renewable feedstock into sustainable chemicals for use in plastics, resins and food additives.

Construction on the Sarnia plant is expected to be wrapped up in a couple of months.

It's expected to be in commercial production by the third quarter of this year.

It has a capacity of 30 thousand metric tonnes.

BioAmber describes the Sarnia plant as the world's largest succinic acid manufacturing facility.
