PC Ag Critic Says Young People Lack Info About Jobs In Farming

The Opposition Agriculture , Food and Rural Affairs critic says agricultural literacy remains a bit of a struggle in Ontario.

Conservative MPP Toby Barrett argues young people lack information about the good jobs available in farming, food production, processing and agribusiness in general.

He also worries the industry has gone backwards in some ways as agricultural programs have morphed into environmental sciences.

Barrett's comments were made at Queen's Park last week in support of Canadian Agriculture Literacy Week.
