Bluevale Couple Ontario's 2015 Outstanding Young Farmers

A Huron County couple have been named Ontario's Outstanding Young Farmers for 2015.

Amy and Mike Cronin of Bluevale were among five entries for this year's award.

Amy Cronin is also the current chair of Ontario Pork.

The award is based on things like their progress in their agricultural career, crop and/or livestock production history and their contribution to the well-being of the community, province and nation.

A Perth County couple - Mark and Sandi Brock of Staffa - were among the finalists for this year's award.

The Cronins received their award at a banquet earlier this week in Ottawa.

They will now represent Ontario in the national competition being held later this year in Alberta.
