Looking For Ontario Agricultural Innovators

Applications are now open for this year's Premier's Award for Agri-Food Innovation Excellence program.

Up to 45 innovations from across Ontario will be recognised this year.

Each will get 5 thousand dollars in cash, a plaque, a gate sign and various promotional materials.

They'll also be eligible for a 75 thousand dollar Premier's Award, a 50 thousand dollar Minister's Award or one of three 25 thousand dollar Leaders in Innovation Awards.

The program is designed to recognize and foster the spirit of innovation in Ontario's agricultural sector.

Primary producers, processors and agri-food organisations are invited to submit applications.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
