U-S February Cattle Marketings Equal Placements

The latest USDA report shows American feedlots had 1 per cent fewer cattle and calves on feed for slaughter on March 1st than they had a year ago.

The total inventory came in at 10 point 7 million head.

The report puts placements in feedlots during February at 1 point 52 million.

That's 8 per cent below 2014.

Marketings of fed cattle in the U-S in February also came to 1 point 52 million head.

The USDA says that's 2 per cent fewer than in 2014 and the lowest February marketings since the series began in 1996.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
