Aylmer Chicken Producer Joins National Executive

Chicken Farmers of Canada has named it's 2015 Executive Committee.

The four-member committee was chosen by the CFC's 15 member board of directors.

Three are returnees.

B-C's Dave Janzen was re-elected Chair, Yvon Cyr of New Brunswick is back as First Vice Chair and Quebec's Benoit Fontaine has been re-elected as Second Vice-Chair.

Janzen has chaired Chicken Farmers of Canada since 2012.

The new member of the Executive Committee for 2015 is Murray Booy from Aylmer, Ontario.

Booy is a third generation chicken farmer who recently served as Chair of Chicken Farmers of Ontario for five years.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
