Teeswater, Guelph Young People Picked For CCA Young Leaders Program

A Bruce County man is one of two Ontario people who've been given a spot in the Cattlemen's Young Leaders program.

The national youth initiative of the Canadian Cattlemen's Association picked 16 recipients from across the country for this year's program.

Brendan Zettler of Teeswater is one of them.

Bethany Storey of Guelph is the other from Ontario.

The Cattlemen's Young Leaders program provides industry-specific training and mentorship opportunities for young producers.

Participants will have the chance to explore a potential career choice or involvement with a provincial/national producer organisation.

The program hopes to give participants the expertise and business acumen necessary to help sustain the cattle industry into the future.

Two Perth County women graduated from the 2014 program - Amanda Brodhagen of Brunner and Jaclyn Horenberg of Stratford.
