China Mission Will Open More Ontario Wine Markets

More Ontario wine is headed for China.

Two Ontario wineries have signed deals as part of the current Agri-Food Trade Mission to China.

Pillitteri Estates Winery signed a 6 million dollar deal with a China-based company to send more icewine to that country.

Vineland Estates Winery now has a deal to sell it's wines at a retail outlet in China's Shandong province.

According to OMAFRA, Ontario exports more than 8 million dollars worth of wine to China per year, an increase of almost 200 per cent in the past five years.
