GFO Sees Federal Budget Benefits For Ontario Farmers

Grain Farmers of Ontario says this province's farmers will see some benefits from this week's federal budget.

Chair Mark Brock says the increase in the Lifetime Capital Gains Exemption will help farmers disposing of their assets.

Brock points out increasing Ontario farmland prices have seen those assets increase in value significantly over the past few years.

GFO also welcomes the government's plans to expand market access activities.

Brock says his members look forward to expanding and diversifying markets domestically and internationally with that increased funding.
