Major Winners From Ontario Spring Discovery Jersey, Holstein Show

Results are in from the recent Ontario Spring Discovery Jersey and Holstein shows.

A Haldimand County exhibitor - Pleasant Nook - took the Senior Champion, Grand Champion, Reserve Senior Champoin and Reserve Grand honours in the Jersey competition.

Bridon Farms of Paris won both the Premier Exhibitor and Premier Breeder Banners.

On the Holstein side - Quality Holsteins showed the Grand Champion and the Reserve Champion animals.

Cavanaleck Holsteins of Belmont took home Breeder's Herd honours.

The Premier Breeder banner went to Crovally Farms of Hastings.

And Quality Holsteins won the Premier Exhibitor Banner in the Holstein Show.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
