Farm & Food Care Foundation Confirms National Status

The Farm & Food Care Foundation is now Farm & Food Care Canada.

The foundation's board voted for the name change to more accurately reflect the national charity's active work and vision to build public trust in food and farming across the country.

The change was one of the highlites of the board's recent annual meeting.

This name change applies only to the Farm & Food Care Foundation.

Farm & Food Care Ontario's name stays the same.

The 16 member board added one new member and re-apointed four others at that meeting.

The new member is Derek Schoonbaert, Managing Director for Cargill Value Added Meats.

Returning directors are Leanne Cooley, John Geurtjens, Ian McKillop and Jean Szkotnicki.

Farm & Food Care Canada directors serve 3 year terms.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
