Grain Handling Firm Opens Guelph Office, Hires Ontario Staffer

Ceres Global Ag Corporation is opening a grain merchandising office in Guelph.

Ceres is a Toronto-based company with a Grain Storage, Handling and Merchandising unit and a Commodity Logistics Unit.

It's grain unit is based on it's 100 per cent ownership of Riverland Ag Corporation, which has storage and handling assets in Ontario, Minnesota and New York.

CEO Patrick Bracken says they're hoping the Guelph office will improve the use of it's storage and terminal facilities in Port Colborne.

Ceres has also added Dana Omland to it's staff.

Omland has over 25 years experience in the commodity and finance sectors, including a stint with the Ontario Wheat Producers Marketing Board.

He will be based in Guelph.
