Ontario Goat Group Gets Financial Boost

Gay Lea Foods is contributing 20 thousand dollars to Ontario Goat.

Spokesman Ove Hansen says Gay Lea recognizes the importance of Ontario Goat and the need for a strong producer organisation to advocate on behalf of all goat producers.

Gay Lea's interest in Ontario Goat comes out of it's purchase last fall of Hewitt's Dairy, a main broker of goat milk in the province.

Ontario Goat Executive Director Jennifer Haley says the money will help the organisation expand it's advocacy and educational role in the province's growing goat industry.

She says it will also contribute to the stability of Ontario Goat.
