U-S Committee Votes To Repeal COOL

The U-S Congress's House Agriculture Committee has approved legislation to repeal COOL.

The vote was 38 to 6.

The President of the U-S National Cattlemen's Beef Association welcomed the vote.

Philip Ellis argues the time to negotiate and consider alternatives to the legislation is long past.

The Association is asking the full U-S House of Congress to take up the legislation to repeal COOL as soon as possible to avoid possible trade retaliation by Canada and Mexico.
