Free On-Line Farm Safety Training Available

The Canadian Agricultural Safety Association is offering three on-line farm safety training courses free to the end of this month.

The courses include agricultural machinery safeguarding, seasonal agricultural workers health and safety orientation and working in confined spaces on the farm.

Executive Director Marcel Hacault says farmers and farm workers can access the training directly from their home computers.

Each course takes 45 minutes to an hour to complete.

After May 31st, the courses will still be available - but at a charge.

Farm Credit Canada and the Canadian Fertilizer Institute are picking up the costs of those programs until May 31st.

The courses are available in the training section of the Canadian Agricultural Safety Association's website.
