U-S Planting Nears Completion - Corn Condition Update

U-S corn and soybean growers are setting into the five-year average for this spring's planting.

After several weeks running well ahead of average, soybeans are now 71 per cent planted and corn 95 per cent.

Both are one point ahead of the five-year average.

The USDA says the U-S corn crop is 74 per cent good to excellent.

That's the same as last week - 2 points behind this time last year.

44 per cent of the U-S winter wheat crop is good to excellent - 1 point below last week, 14 points better than a year ago.

And the American spring wheat crop is 71 per cent good to excellent - 2 points better than last week.
