New Ontario Reps On Holstein Canada Committees

An Elmira-area farmer has joined one of Holstein Canada's committees for 2015-16.

Ralph Martin of Ontowa Farms has been added to the organisation's Audit, Risk Management and Finance Committee.

Dan Aitken from the Bowmanville area is a new member of the Classification Advisory Committee.

Holstein Canada has 9 committees and one working group given the task of ensuring the organisations Board of Directors has input from it's grassroots members and industry partners.

Other Ontario members on the various committees include Josh Ireland, Frank Donkers and Doug Peart.

Committee chairs include Gerald Schipper and Glen McNeil, also from Ontario.

Committee members terms range from 1 to 3 years and they can serve up to three terms.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
