Canadian Pork Council Welcomes U-S Congress COOL Vote

The Vice-Chair of the Canadian Pork Council says the U-S Congressional vote on COOL is encouraging.

The American politicians voted to scrap the COOL regulations dealing with beef, pork and poultry.

Bill Wymenga says the Canadian livestock industry has waited far too long for justice.

Now, he says the focus on the Senate.

Wymenga figures Canada has the attention of the U-S politicians.

He's hopeful their hearts and minds will soon follow.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
