U-S Corn, Soybean Conditions Behind Last Year

The condition of the U-S corn and soybean crops is lower than it was a week ago and last year at this time.

The U-S corn crop slipped a point last week to 73 per cent good to excellent - 3 points behind last year at this time.

Soybeans are 67 per cent good to excellent - 2 points behind the previous week and 6 points lower than last year.

The U-S spring wheat crop is 70 per cent good to excellent - up a point from the previous week, 2 points behind a year ago.

The winter wheat crop is 43 per cent good to excellent - same as the previous week and 13 points better than last year at this time.

11 per cent of the U-S winter wheat crop has been harvested.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
