A vet working in Paisley is this year's winner of the Grey Bruce Farmers' Week Prize.

The 1 thousand dollar prize recognizes new veterinarians entering food animal practices serving producers in Grey and Bruce Counties.

This year's winner is Doctor Victoria Styczynski.

Originally from Burlington, Doctor Styczynski spent many of her fourth year rotations with various practices in the Grey Bruce area.

She's currently working in a mixed animal practice at Paisley Veterinary Service.

The award was created by the Grey Bruce Farmers' Week Committee as a way to give back to the farming community which has supported the annual event since it's inception in 1966.
