U-S Corn, Soybean Conditions Continue Behind Last Year

Very little change in the condition of the U-S corn, soybean and spring wheat crops.

The USDA says 69 per cent of the corn is good to excellent - same as last week - 7 points behind last year.

Soybeans are 62 per cent good to excellent - down a point from last week - 10 points behind last year.

The the U-S spring wheat crop is 71 per cent good to excellent - up a point from last week and from last year at this time.

The USDA has stopped reporting the condition of the U-S winter wheat crop.

However, the department reports 65 per cent of that crop has been harvested - 3 points behind the five year average.
