Bruce 4-H 100th Celebration Coming Up In October

The Bruce County 4-H Association is celebrating the 100th anniversary of 4-H in Ontario and Canada this fall.

The October event will be a celebration of the past and a look a the direction 4-H is headed.

It's also going to be a fundraiser for 4-H Ontario's Community Investment Fund.

Money from that fund will be used to help Bruce County continue running regional events and supporting national opportunities for the county's members.

Jennifer Christie is the Vice-Chair of the event.

She says they're looking for memorabilia from past clubs and information and stories they can share at the centennial celebration.

The Bruce County 4-H Association 100th anniversary event is October 24th at the Saugeen Golf Club at Southampton.

Tickets will be available at Sprucedale Agromart in Tara, Huron Tractor in Walkerton and the Country Depot in Kincardine.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
