Marketing Bruce Garlic In Toronto

Two Bruce County growers will be among the vendors at this year's Toronto Garlic Festival.

Langside Farms Organic Garlic from the Teeswater area and Arranhill Garlic Farm from Allenford will be showing off their products at the fifth annual Toronto event.

Besides the vendors, festival visitors can watch cooking demonstrations, presentations and live music as well as a feature film screening.

This year's film - Food Fighters - is a documentary showing how communities are coming together with urban agriculture initiaties and local food businesses to create food security.

The Toronto Garlic Festival is on September 20th at Artscape Wychwood Barns, on Christie Street just south of St. Clair Avenue.

The event runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m..

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
