Promoting Perth County's Agriculture And Agribiz Sector

The Perth County Visitors Association is running it's agri-tourism event again this year.

It's Second Annual Straw Sculpture Tour and Farm-Gate Dinner runs from August 29th to September 19th.

It's a self-guided tour to see straw sculptures on display by local farms and businesses.

Visitors are asked to vote on their favourite sculptures.

Voting can also get the visitors entered into a draw for some prize packages.

The Perth County farmers and businesses involved will also be selling fresh produce, baked goods and meats at the various stops.

It all wraps up with the Farm-Gate Dinner in Milverton on September 19th.

The menu includes ingredients and produce from the farms and busiensses featured during the tour.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
