U-S Corn, Soybean Conditions Steady But Behind 2014

The USDA reports a slight drop in the condition of the American corn crop over the past week.

The department's 68 per cent good to excellent rating is one point lower than last week and 6 points below last year.

The soybean condition remains unchanged from last week at 63 per cent good to excellent.

That's 9 points behind the same week last year.

American pastures and ranges are pretty much on-par with last week and last year at 50 per cent good to excellent.

That's down 2 points from the previous week but 2 points better than a year ago.

And the USDA reports 88 per cent of the spring wheat crop has been harvested - 26 points ahead of the 5 year average.U-S Crop Progress - Aug 31

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
