Badjeros Breeder Repeat Winner At Bruce Grey Holstein Show

108 head of Holsteins from Bruce, Grey and Huron counties were judged in the recent Bruce Grey Holstein Show.

The Grand Champion was exhibited by Hodglynn Holsteins of Kincardine and Littlestar Holsteins.

The Reserve Champion was shown by Ed Meulendyk of Badjeros.

Meulendyk was also named Premier Breeder and Premier Exhibitor of the show - for the fourth straight year.

The Bruce Grey Holstein Show's Junior Champion was exhibited by Kailea Holsteins of Elmwood while Unique Holsteins of Holstein showed the Reserve Junior Champ.

This year's show also included a 4-H Showmanship class, with 35 entries.

Serena Lamont of Ripley was named Grand Champion Showperson with Joseph Kapteyn of Wiarton the Reserve Champion.

The Grand Champion 4-H calf was shown by Lindsay Kieffer of Teeswater.

Greg Burgess of Mildmay showed the Reserve Champion.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
