Financial Help For Post-Secondary Ag Students

With students heading back to school, a reminder about the CKNX Radio Farm Advisory Board Bursary.

It's a one thousand dollar bursary being offered to a Midwestern Ontario student enrolled in a post-secondary, agriculture-related program.

That can range from entering first year to entering final year this fall.

For the purposes of the bursary, Midwestern Ontario includes the counties of Huron, Bruce, Grey and Perth and the northern sections of Wellington and Waterloo and the western part of Dufferin.

The Board is looking for students who have a proven track record of contributing to their industry and their community and who have the potential to be future role models.

They also need to be enthusiastic about the agriculture industry.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
