International Holstein Event Names Canadian Top Finisher

A Canadian has taken top place at this year's European Young Breeders School.

The School bills itself as the international reference for the training of young people about the Holstein breed.

Canadian Chris Steven took the top spot in this year's event.

He was also named the Best Clipper - and was also selected Best Showman for his age group and third best showman overall.

Mauranne Herbert of Canada was Best Showman of her age group and was second overall in showmanship.

She finished 13 in the overall competition.

Two other Canadians finished in the top 20 in the European competition - Jennifer Charlton at sixth and Mike Flaman at 11th.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
