Avian Influenza Spread In U.S. A Wildcard

The possible further spread of Avian Influenza to key U.S. chicken production areas is a major wild card for the poultry industry outlook in the second half of this year.

That's according to Rabobank. The bank says the poultry industry outlook for the rest of this year and into 2016 is bullish. The bank's economists figure feed prices will remain low and global breeding stock supply will be very low in regions with A-I related import restrictions such as China and South East Asia.

It's Poultry Quarterly outlook calls for the U-S poultry industry to post strong margins despite avian influenza trade bans.
